You're more beautiful than you think you are....

how beautiful do you think you are?  how do others see you?  how would someone else describe the features of your face, your hair, your eyes?

dove has come out with an amazing campaign that has me pretty emotional after watching it.  as people it's hard to see our own beauty sometimes.  as women, i think it's even harder.  between stigmas put on us from society and the expectations we put on ourselves.... it's hard.  it's hard to look in the mirror with a "dayyyyyum girl...you look good" attitude.

for me, it's a challenge.  it's always been a challenge.  growing up the outcast nerd made it hard for me to see beauty inside the nerdiness.  i didn't think the two could live together inside of one person.

my poor husband, he's so amazing and compliments me allll of the time.  and i shrug it off, sometimes even getting upset with him for thinking that way of me when i'm in such a shambles.  he'll cutely say "hey sexy face...." and i come back at him with "uh, hardly. i've been in yoga pants for 2 days, haven't washed my hair in a week, have a pimple the size of new jersey and am bloated from my period. but thanks."  note to self: he doesn't see me that way.

i emplore each of you reading this post to take a moment and watch this video.  especially my female readers.  just watch and listen.
